Faye Dyer
District Two Commissioner

I was elected in 1988 as one of the first two Republican County Commissioners since Reconstruction, as well as the first female ever elected to the Madison County Commission. During my tenure as Commissioner I had a rural "Road Shed" with responsibility for repair and maintenance of 150 miles of rural roads, a 20 member crew, and a budget of approximately $1 million.

Since redistricting in 1992 my responsibilities changed from rural to urban. My primary focus continues to be fiscal in nature. I endeavor to focus public attention on where our revenue comes from, how much is collected, and how it is spent. It is crucial to our community that everyone get involved to ensure the County executes sound financial management and strict fiscal control.

If you would like to know more about Madison County's revenue or expenditures, please contact us at the Madison County District 2 website. I can also provide additional information concerning budgets, minutes of meetings, and board appointments. I may be contacted by email at by phone at 256-532-1590 or by mail at 100 Northside Square, Madison County Courthouse, Huntsville, Alabama 35801-4820.
