The Information and Community Relations Department acts as a focal point for information concerning governmental and community activities to citizens and the news media. It encourages media coverage of events through press releases and personal contact to insure broad participation. One of its other functions is to produce a directory periodically to endeavor to make citizens aware of their government and community services and facilities. This department also maintains Madison County's web site, www.co.madison.al.us.
